I have a TrueType question! First, I can't tell you how overjoyed I was to see all those great fonts in TT format! A thousand thanks! I'm giddy at the prospect of finally replacing all my ATM fonts and ditching ATM. This brings us to my question. I read somewhere that it was possible in the old CD to edit CORELDRW.INI and change the WFN font names from the Corel names to the better-known trademarked names (Gatineau to Garamond, etc.). Now, I've been collecting TrueType fonts for awhile, and CD3.0 replaces virtually every one, which is fine since many of my TT fonts are converted Adobe or Macintosh fonts and are unstable. However, being named differently, the CD fonts simply reside NEXT TO the identical TT fonts instead of replacing them. I figure there's no harm in editing my INI files to make the CD fonts take over and replace my older fonts (in ways that my other apps, Pagemaker, etc., will acknowlege), much as it could be done with the old WFN fonts. Basically all I'm asking is; do you see any problem with this before I start changing anything? Thanks! – Ken –
