A master for a regular laserdisc (in CAV or CLV format) can be
produced using almost any video format. The most typical is
BetacamSP or 1", but the LVR laserdisc format would work fine as
well. Check with your local laserdisc mastering facility for what
formats they accept.
If you want to use the LVR masters _themselves_ as playback media,
you're going to have to install LVP-7000 or LVP-3500 component
laserdisc players in the doctors offices. Those cost close to $7K
each, but allow tremendous programmability. Does that answer your
