Jim, Truevision is also releasing new Targa+ drivers, including Poco routines for Animator Pro, and Windows 3.1 drivers, control panel and capture utility. They're due approx. 6/22/92 for $35, and will also be available for download in the Broadcast BPFORUM. I suspect the problem you're experiencing is that instead of RGB 0,0,0 automatically being the clear (overlay) color, it is instead the last (or is it first) color in the palette – thus the .FLI needs to be filled with that palette position color.
