As promised, the way to contact the 51st World Science Fiction Convention is by dropping a query to: ConFrancisco: 51st World SF Convention, P.O. Box 22097, San Francisco, CA 94122. I don't have the current membership rates handy, but they go up rather rapidly soon so it might be a good idea to send them your query very quickly. The official dates are 9/3 through 9/6/93, but, as I said, the clan begins gathering on Wednesday (9/1 in this case), particularly the business folks who get a lot of their business dinners and negotiations and the like out of the way early (and registration will be open with no crowds), and parties and such will be in full swing by 9/2. The Hugo Awards Ceremony (nominations for, votes for, are included in the membership) is usually either Saturday or Sunday night and is also included, as is the big masquerade, etc. In fact, while the membership's in the hundred buck range, there are no other charges except what you eat (although for forty bucks you can vote for and join the LA 1996 worldcon there). I'll be in by Wednesday for sure, hopefully earlier, and will be there until 9/7 when I have to fly home and put my oldest in 7th grade. This is the biggest science fiction convention of them all, and there is nothing else quite like it.
