Geoffrey,
I just a Q210s in my 2000…here are some tips for you (I also have a 3000
at work, so I know a bit about them…):
1. The Quantum 210 will work fine with the controller already in the
machine. 2. You can use the 210 internally…it can probably be wedged into
a floppy bay…hopefully someone here can confirm/disconfirm this. I
assume that you want to keep the drive that is already in there. 3. You
will need a three (or more) headed SCSI cable for the install. 4. You
should be able to get this drive for less than $600 mail order. 5. The
drive is fast and reliable. You'll be very happy with it.
