#Earthquakes

Earthquakes are pretty terrible, if you're near the epicenter. Then
lots of things fall down on you. Also, you can be wiped out by an
earthquake if you don't have insurance on your home–and many Californians
don't. Mainly, when there is a big one, like the Loma Prieta (World
Series) quake at 8.1 or so, you're glad you're alive, and you get out of
buildings that are damaged. Then you hope that there won't be another one
like it in your lifetime.
Surely you have some kind of natural disasters in Alberta? Tornadoes?
Hurricanes? Volcanoes? Guess I'd better do some research with my new
multimedia Microsoft Bookshelf.
