I've got a wonderful room-warming Quantum 210MB drive in my 3000 along with a 50MB Quantum. I've had no problems with either drive. The 210MB drive has been going strong for over to years now. As long as it's the SCSI 210, you're all right. Also, Quantum has replaced the 210MB drive with a 240MB drive in a low profile format (less power consuming, slightly faster, smaller height wise) so it may be a wiser choice if you can find one. Works very well in a 3000. Because of it's size, a friend has stacked a 50 and a 240 in the same spot next to the power supply and has two internal floppy drives in his 3000. No problem with heat as both of those drives combined can't match the heat produced by my 210! 🙂 Hot enough to cook eggs on! 🙂 Dan McCoy – via Whap! and saving money doing it too!
