SCSI CD-ROMS
Yes, I'm talking about the tiny cable, the audio connection between CD-ROM
drive and the sound card. I have a Texel DM-3024 internal CD-ROM drive and
a DAK BSR MediaMaster card (an OEM'd AudioMaster). The options for
connecting audio out from the Texel are an internal rear 3-pin male socket
(called a J.S.T. connector) or the front panel female miniplug. The
MediaMaster connects via the rear panel female miniplug or a male on-board
J.S.T. socket.
The easiest way to connect would be a male-male miniplug cable running from
the front of the CD-ROM to the back of my machine but that's too inelegant
for my tastes. I guess I'll have to track down the connectors at some
electronics supplier and make the cable myself. Jim
