Kevin, what are your MSCDEX parameters? I have a Toshiba 3401 that works great under OS/2 2.1 (in native mode, in an OS/2 Virtual DOS Machine and under WIN-OS2). All I did was tell OS/2 to install it and specify the drive and SCSI adapter. The MSCDEX functions for DOS and Windows are "built in" to OS/2 2.1, so I didn't need to worry about it for the OS/2 installation. Now, I'd like to install the drive under vanilla DOS 5.0 and Windows 3.1. I have a copy of MSCDEX 2.22 and some MS documentation on it. I think that I understand its parameters except for the /D:<device-name>. The MS info says you use this parameter to: "Specify a name for the device driver." What device driver? I'm using a PS/2 with SCSI on the motherboard and it's SCSI hard file works just fine with DOS and Windows without any driver specified in my CONFIG.SYS. Now I want it to recognize my SCSI CD-ROM drive when booted under DOS. So, when I add MSCDEX.EXE to my AUTOEXEC.BAT, do you know what I specify for the /D:<device-name> parameter? And, do I need some other driver? Also, if you have any hints for the other MSCDEX parameters, I'd appreciate your passing them along. TIA. Bill
