Thomas, I'm new at all of this, but have some of the info in front of me, so I can help out a little. I have a BusLogic SCSI adapter BT-445S. The book for it says I can select from IRQs 9,10,11,12,14,or 15. The default is 11. I'd watch out for 9, as there is something about IRQ 2 'leap-frogging' to 9. It's my understanding that the 'traditional' IRQs we hear about most were available on earlier PCs and XTs. Since ATs, more have been available, but adapter manufacturers have stuck to the old ones to be sure and be compatible with XTs. I think they're getting away from that now. As far as sharing IRQs, I think the general feeling is that no one would recommend it. A more reasonable response might be to try it. At least have an up-to-date chart with interrypts and addresses of everything that's hitched to your computer listed. For instance, I have a MIDI port and LPT1 both sharing IRQ 7. And I'll be darned, IRQ 3 is free! <g> I hope you have good results. I got all my ducks in a row and plugged everything together and the computer won't boot! 🙁 Dave McKeen
