Hi Rich. While I don't disagree with your specific points about relational databases and CD-ROMs, I don't think I do agree with the implication that relational databases shouldn't be used with CD-ROMs. Rather, from my *limited* experience with CD-ROMs, I haven't seen anything that reflects a lot of in-depth experience with relational tables. Most of what I've seen so far (and that's not a whole lot) seems to have been developed around text-indexing/search engines by folks who really seem to understand that technology — but maybe not database technology. And, I'm just not sure that for some applications, database technology might be a much better fit. At least I'm not going to strike it off at this point in my CD-ROM learning curve. What ya think?
