Does anyone know of any CD-ROMs which must be read in "raw" mode? Do you know why? Are they doing "funny" things in the error correction data? Dick. P.S., for those who wonder what in hell I'm talking about, most CD-ROM applications read in "cooked" mode, which means that a Sector Read operation returns 2K of data. Most CD-ROM Drives also have a "raw" mode read, which returns the 2K of data, plus 16 bytes of control data, plus 288 bytes of error correction data.
