Yes, but the people who understand it the least are the most fasinated by
it. We've become so accustomed to the concept of 3D that unless something
is utterly "ground breaking" it raises nothing more than a yawn. If the
"Joan Rivers'" crowd could see something being done on a home computer
that looked like BattleStar instead of WordStar, I think their attention
would have been unbreakable. An understanding of 3D and rendering
concepts isn't required to appreciate them.
