L|Yost Group 76702,413|16M Ram not enough|S 0|76702,413 Hello; I am new to
Compuserve and this board. I am working on an animation that has it's mesh
files still growing. I have a 486-25DX clone with 16 megs of ram, and until
last night, have not had a problem needing more ram. I obviously do now,
because one image took almost 2 hours to render, and my hard disk sounded like
a teletype machine.
My computer has the capability to hold 32 megs of ram, but what I would like to
know is, will this be enough. Is there a way to find out how much more ram my
hard disk is supplying?
If I need over 32 megs, I will consider buying a faster unit with capabilities
to handle at least 64 megs.
Also, would you tell me how to register, or make reservations, or get tickets
to Siggraph?
Thank you. This may be in the wrong area, or the wrong title, or who knows
what, I have had trouble getting this to send. Please do not take offense.
