I must confess, Paul, that I've heard of your company prior to being a member of this forum and as such realize animation houses in the big leagues such as yours are indeed making substantially higher than the mentioned 75.00 per hr. But, you being a professor of economics I'm surprized that you think all who are marketing animation are playing the big leagues and are tapping that "so much $10,000 work I just have to turn it away" variety. You must realize that this field is made up of all levels of enterprise tapping all levels of resource, some deep pockets, some not so deep. At this time, I do not care to go after the jobs like that because of the demands those jobs place on my time and temperament. Animation is not the mainstay of my business but an outgrowth of my video post operations for my underwater mapping operations. I do a little animation on the side when requests come in from local video production companies. If I quoted them say $500 per rendered second I'd get laughed at and the animation would get scratched from the project. If I quote (equivalent to) $60 per rendered second I get the job and made a nice couple of bucks for a couple of days work. One day I might get serious about animation and hire a salesman and go for it, but not right now. And since you brought it up, my equipment is all paid for by the products. Anyway, since you guys have so much of this work your turning away, how about sending some to me and Martin Foster. We could do this work and you collect a distributor fee. If you could keep us busy then maybe even our hardware dealers would send you a kickback since we wouldn't have the time to work on our machines.<G> Now, if you are indeed a professor of economics this has to make sense (cents) to you. GR&D. PS- Friend Randy Brown got the new driver for his EISA controller and the problem solved. Thanks again for your past assistance.
