Kean, The Library of Congress sells its database on CD-ROM. It is called CDMARC Bibliographic. It has more than 4 million MARC records for books, serials, maps, music, visual materials, and computer files–everything cataloged since 1968. It takes 7 discs to hold all that data, so you will have to have a multi-drive player to use it comfortably. The Pioneer DRM-600 works pretty well for a single user workstation. We are coming out soon with a new product called CDMARC English which will have only the English language records.
