Joseph, I have a Pioneer 604 X here that I writing a review of. They seem to
have thought of any possible problems and provided a solution and I have
thankfully been able to use my CD-ROM's with no problems. I suggest you use a
SCSI adapter other than the Always IN-2000 as I have experienced some problems
with it. The Always ASPI driver is less than perfect, but they are working on
it. The drive is very fast since it spins at 4 x the speed of a standard
drive. It takes about 6 seconds to change disks. The drive comes with ASPI
drivers, MAC drivers and some utility programs for playing audio CD's, etc.
The drive was very easy to set up. I would be happy to answer any questions
you might have.
