Paul, The process is actually quite simple. The HD adapters for an A500 work
just fine..except that the back faces the front and you need to put an inch or
so of blocking under the unit because the expansion slot is much higher on the
1000 than the 500. If you want the hd to be self booting you will need to add a
Kickstart ROM of 2.0. Good luck. Bill
