Which 3D?
David, I have Real 3D 2.0 and think it is an awesome program, but it may not be
the best choice for a user new to 3D work. Real 3D 'Classic' as the old
version (1.4.2) is now called is a good choice and a lot cheaper than 2.0. I
used it to do a lot of mechanical objects (jet engine components) and it works
great for this (especially the Boolean operations). It can import clips from
Pro Draw which is a good 2D structured drawing program.
However, Imagine is the program of choice for most Amiga users and this is an
excellent program. Others can tell you more about Imagine.
You might have an easier time using a CAD program to draw the objects but you
have to check what 3D object formats it can output to.
Hope this helps some.
