T4000 Arrives!
Gee Erik, you shouldna done that! Since you already have a 2000
Toaster, you could have simply purchased ASDG's LANRover
thin-ethernet system for both machines and then they could have
shared drives, without a SCSI card in the 4000. Of course, it would
have cost you about the same (or a tiny bit more), but the
expandability of the system is well worth it. That way, each machine
you buy, you just slap in another Rover card and you've got access to
EVERYTHING. I now have 5 machines sharing almost 3 gigs of hard
drive space…and no SCSI in my 4000.
Also, I've had to drop out of the animation tape. It seems that a
bunch of the stuff I was going to send can't be sent yet, so I've got
to pass. I'll certainly participate next time, tho! Still hope to
get a copy so I can see what you guys are up to, BTW.
