I just read an article in June 1993 issue of AV Video by Rick Shaw who says
Sony has a Hi-8 Metal-P "broadcast" version tape out numbered P6-120HMPX. Rick
apparently has tried both this tape and the consumer version P120 and indcates
there is a significant difference in the number of dropouts. He now only uses
the broadcast version. I haven't tried it yet but I will be with my EV0-9650.
