3DS 3.0 Wishlist
I know that y'all be doing great things for future release. One thing in 2.0
bugs me to know end. Here is the current seq of events.
1) work in 3D editor
2) goto mat editor
3) build material
4) put material
5) return to 3D editor
6) choose material
7) scroll through the list and find the material
You could simply the finding of materials in 3 ways
1) In the choose menu allow the user to type the fist letter of the
material they wish. If they press the letter twice then goto the next
mat starting with that material.
2) If a material was just "put" from the material editor then when in
calling the mat chooser that material is hilighted at the cursor. All
that would be needed to make that material current is choose accept.
3) Display pict-a-cons of the current material workspace in the
materials editor when in the material chooser.
