Here we have the opposite problem: artist sees computers as a threat, not as a another "brush". However, there are others, who see the posibilities of this neverending media (I think that I'm in the last "gang"). I consider Jean Giraud "Moebius" to be one of the best examples of what things have to be with artist (I consider Moebius to be one of those rare live masters, pne who really knows what this art-technology relation is about, I admire his work from Blueberry -not to talk about the rest of his HUGE work- to StarWatcher). I like your chaos analogy. Yes, I think that it fits with our information oversaturated society. Things have changed since the old times. Currently, we are involved in a high complex world, with messages flying arround the place at light speed. I think, like you, that all of us have a role, like the butterfly, on this (crazyness?). I have something to say too 🙂 I got involved in computers a long time ago, with my first Apple II clone. Then I go for an XT and them jump to "high class" hardware and soft (while I have the money to do it). I start on this business just to experiment with the tools, but I got involved in arquitectural work later (as Pink Floyd say: to get some "MONEY!!!" 🙂 I colaborate with a computer magazine (writing about computer imaging and other technical issues with my boyfriend, Jesus, who will be here soon- he's another "art explorer" 🙂 Our first objective is to present an animation in Imagina (and win a PixelINA, of course <g>) Ahhh…there a lot of things to do (for your inside and for the outside).
