Those are only impressions based on what I have _heard_ of the board.
I have as yet to actually see one, but I see the flaws like this:
IDE: Limited to 2 drives max. Current biggest drive is 512M.
(Loose change in the world of digital video. :^)
JPEG: It's JPEG, not MPEG. No sound-sync, proprietary format, etc.
I see the PAR as a good solution for what it claims to be:
a PERSONAL Animation Recorder. (I'm looking for something that'll give me
a non-linear future to grow into.)
