Bookshelf is sorta notorious for not being compatible with complex systems and, especially, TSRs. Try creating a minimal boot disk with just the bare necessities, like your CDROM driver and mscdex, and nothing else. If the problem evaporates, it becomes a tedious bit of detective work to see which programs and/or drivers are offending your 2 errant CDs. Since you only have a couple of problem disks, this kind of problem is the most likely. Best of luck…
