Thanks for your answer, Martin No, it definitly is NOT CD-Audio and spinning problems. The Panasonic takes care of them the brute force way. If a disk is mixed (i.e. has data AND CD-audio) it will read the data only at 150 KB so it does not have to spin up and down. Clever idea… The problem is that Soundblaster digital sound plays VERY choppy. Each time the CD is accessed during Video sequences the whole system seems to stand still for a hunderth (or so) of a sec. This also brings the unwanted noise into the Soundblaster sounds. Boris
