Need help w/Vibrant
Hi, Chuck. My name is Jan MacKay, and I am the Tech Support Supervisor for
Addison-Wesley Publishing, Inc. We sell 3D Studio R3 through college
bookstores. I need some info/advice concerning the Vibrant driver in 3DS3.
A recent purchaser has a Diamond Viper board installed in his computer.
Following Diamond's suggestion, he has selected the Vibrant option, and chosen
the Diamond P9000 board during vibcfg, using 1024×768 resolution for main,
rendering, and materials. He says that the display is fine in main and
materials, but distorted in rendering. He did contact Vibrant, who says that
he needs to contact the software developer. I'm sure you're familiar with
Autodesk's support policy.
Because our agreement with Autodesk is to render BASIC installation support
only (not configuration), I'm really at a loss at how to proceed. Do you have
any suggestions for this user?
Is the vibcfg program an add-in to 3D Studio, or did Autodesk develop it?
I'd truly appreciate any advice you can give me.
