There are two disks. Boot and Root. Boot is a bootable disk it has enough Amiga format to let it be bootable. Root is not an AmigaDOS disk. If you get as far as accessing the tape, your disks are obviously working. Like I said in my mail to you, if you are crapping out as soon as first access to the tape is requested, you probably need the -08 WD SCSI chip.
