I will take your warning to heart and refrain from doing so in the future, so far there does not appear to have been any damage inflicted on the CIA's. The init string I use is one I made up from comparing the manuals of the modem and GPFax, is this an approach you could try? I know how frustrating being in this sort of situation can be, keep at it, you never know the next attempt may be the one that works! Adrian It's really happening to Ya!
