Charles… It has two problems really. First of all the computer is and A1200 (just over one year old) with a GVP 030/40mhz accelerator. Problem #1: Since the first day I purchased the computer (used) it has what I refer to as rolling flicker. Similar to interlace flicker but it seems to move from the top of the screen to the bottom and gets noticeably worse when some CPU activity is taking place. Newest drivers haven't resolved this problem. Problem #2: While doing my taxes with an Amiga tax program I used the program to reset the display to interlace. It did something to the display (totally corrupting it and freezing up the computer). When I rebooted the useable area of the screen was shifted over to the right one and a quarter inches (even on the gray boot screen). Nothing I can do recovers that lost screen area. I have three Amigas at home and three different monitors (1950, 1960 and 1080) and it is not the monitor that has the problem. I have never heard of software damaging hardware but it sure appears that is what happened here. I have tried MonEd, new drivers, different monitors, and nothing solves the problem. I wish there was some software that did a diagnostic on the hardware (chips) like I have seen for the old C-64s. Any suggestions you may have will be greatly appreciated. I have heard from some other A1200 owners who are having the same problem. One told me that some A1200's had this problem and C= could fix it but since C= isn't an option anymore I don't know where to go. ..Carl
