To Yost Group: I have a question regarding the black levels when rendering with 3D Studio using an Truevision AT Vista card. The problem we are having is getting the black levels to be 7.5 IRE and not 0.0 IRE. It seems that no matter how we try to render a file the levels are always off. For example, we are trying to render a black background. When we do this it always renders it at a 0.0 IRE black level whether we turn on Superblack or not. We are looking at the signal through a waveform monitor to be sure. Is there a setting in 3D Studio to make sure that we do not render any NTSC illegal levels, or is this something that should be corrected with the AT Vista card? This problem occurs when we render models or just a plain background through the background generator. Please help. Thank you very much. -Yishai
