Great info, as i have El cheapo in testing now. You've any idea whether silent answer will work for which modems. I wanna buy a new modem but if my current 2400 Dynalink faxmodem can serve at home, it would be great. For voice mail i have already a tape-based answering machine, so it would be enough if AVM would listen en jump in when it hears a fax. About this "hearing a fax", is this about CNC-tones or would it work with any, also older, faxmachines. My main fax-senders are my girlfriend who have a bit older, non-auto, faxmachine. I have to make sure things work with their machine. If so i can throw out this fax-switchbox. >> I should upload AVM1.26.lha tonight. Al has integrated the El Cheapo Fax software into AVM, so users without GPFax or Trapdoor can just use ECFax. He has also done development work on the FAX printer driver to make it better. This allows ECFax users to easily create FAXs and deliver them using AVM as a front end and scheduler.
