I contacted the graphics artists who developed the flc file for us and hopefully we'll be able to try it with the reduced palette sometime in the next few days. I won't know until then. As for openning another version of the DLL periodically, that is not so simple with Visual Basic. I don't think this would be helpful because even when I close my application, the memory that was lost is not restored. I normally have to reboot the machine to restore the lost memory. I'll let you know more when I learn more. Dave
