Print problems
This amiga novice would like to know if its possible to get my Amiga 4000/040
to talk to an Apple LaserWriter IINT printer.
I changed the switch setting on the printer (serial) to RS-232 9600 Baud/RS-422
9600 Baud and on the Amiga I set the printer prefs to Printer type: Postscript,
Port: Serial, Paper type: Single. The driver mode in PS Print Pref is set to
Postscript. With a serial cable connected to their respective ports, I then
opened a document in Final Copy (1.3.2) with print options set to Single sheet,
postscript printer, Serial printer type etc.
Using this logic, I clicked the print button, but nothing happened. (So much
for logic)
Am I missing a special print driver for the Amiga?
I also have a newer Apple LaserWriter Select 360 printer which has both a
25-pin female serial port and a 36-pin Centronics-type (female) parallel port.
While I would prefer to decicate my older printer to the Amiga, I'd certainly
welcome options for my Select 360 as well.
Any help would be appreciated.
