Thomas, The best solution I've seen so far that doesn't involve scan doubling is monitors with long-persistance phosphors. These phosphors "hold" their photon charge long enough that there is little decay between fields. Some phosphors, though, can be so long that any reasonable screen rewrite (say closing a Workbench window) will ghost for much too long. I find this distracting, personally.
