While someone from Vibrant will have to jump in here regarding the refresh
rates, I'll just say that Liquid Speed has NOTHING to do with video output,
monitors, video cards, etc. It replaces the vector-drawing routines (and the
like) to speed up re-draws, etc. It is totally independent of video drivers
(ie it will work regardless of you using an inline, vs VESA vs 3rd-party)
although you will get better results using the inline drivers.
If you deal with large models on an ongoing basis, one of the forumites (who
was a severe skeptic, not to mention leery of LS's additional dongle),
determined that LS will indeed save you significant time.
