WfW TCP/IP, ftp?
>> I've upgraded to Wfw 3.11. (For a while there, I thought the straight
Windows 3.11 upgrade was the same thing.) And I downloaded and installed the
TCP/IP for WfW 3.11, added my hosts file, and 'ping' works fine.
Now I'm looking for 'ftp', 'rcp', etc. I grabbed WS_FTP.ZIP, which claimed
Windows sockets compatibility. Shouldn't this program work with the official
WfW TCP/IP?
I remember using some earlier WINSOCK.DLL programs… am I having some kind of
conflict or incompatibility between PD and Microsoft WINSOCK DLL? <<
The beta release includes a PING, TELNET, FTP, ARP and one or two otehr
utilities. Any Uitility that will run over Windows Sockets version 1.1 should
function normally with the beta stack.
