Mark I'm not 100% sure but I think you have to be a _Full-time_ student to get a student version of 3D Studio. Another point… if your "Student" Version is being used for Production work.. it's WRONG! You can do what you want with your student version for your own purpurposes but If you want to dispense advice you should be a bit more selective about how Technically Correct/Proper it is. Yes the Student versions are a good Deal. Yes Autodesk would like to help students learn all about 3D Studio. But You have to Grow up and accept the Responsibility's the rest of the 3DS community at large has to live with. Your former statement Also tells me your not consistant…didn't you just just cynicly make a comment to Jeff about his statement regarding a lost manual???? It's my understanding that Jeff Did Really Misplace his manual and was perhaps a bit anxious to get his system up and running so he asked autodesk about a replacement. You said something like "Ya' _that's_ a Good One!"….<g>. My question to you would be> Since your a Student and own a Student Version of 3D Studio have you ever used it to make any money??? If you have…I suggest that your on pretty shakey ground… I also suggest you get a full blown UpGradable Resale Version of 3D Studio because your Student Version is NOT upgradable and If I were your dealer I'd be less inclined to give you the best possible price knowing that your making money with a "Student" Version thereby Unfairly competing with my clients that are trying to do the same thing with copies they paid "Regular" Prices for. Think about it…your really not winning any freinds here. <g> This is my Personal Opinion so Take it for what it's worth. I Just Don't Appreciate your particular kind of Advice to someone who Has allready announced he is planning on using 3D Studio for Commercial Purposes. I'll go away now. Murph'
