Evan,
I deceided to get a good nights sleep before I answered this.
I DL'd your message about 3AM.
If I understand what your saying… Your agreeing with
me…………………………….KeeeerrrrrrWHAM! <g>.
Excuse me while I pick myself up off the floor <g>.
Regarding your Statement:
>>>As far as I know, there is no prohibition against using a student version of
3DS for production work. At least, the Education folks at Autodesk say there
it is OK.<<<
If the Educational Folks are saying that… I would like you to get me specific
Names because I think somebody needs a good "Jacking UP"<g>.
As you know I'm not too particularly fond of a certain person in that
department that like's to talk down to people through her teeth….Kinda
reminds me of "Golum" in the Hobbit. <BG>
Did you happen to catch Jonas's Reply to me?
>>>I believe you have a very good understanding of Autodesk's intent on their
student pricing policy. jonas[adesk] <<<
He mentions "Intent".
That was a response to my stating, among other things:
>>.. if your "Student" Version is being used for Production work.. it's
WRONG!<<
>>Yes the Student versions are a good Deal.
Yes Autodesk would like to help students learn all about 3D Studio.
But You have to Grow up and accept the Responsibility's the rest of the 3DS
community at large has to live with.<<
So coming back to your statement:
>>>there is no prohibition against using a student version of 3DS for
production work.<<<
Whether or not the actual language is worded this way in the Student License
copys, I beleive the _Intent_ is Very Clear.
I hope that makes sense to you.
