Jeff, I talked to Anti-Gravity when I saw the Newton's Law thing. (Having a degree in Physics and being in the anim biz at the moment, those types of names catch your eye…). If, as you say, it is as talked up, Real3D bites the dust as a LW competitor (excepr possibley in the materials editor arena) along with some PC animation packages. Basically, from what I've seen, you go from LW to stuff on the RISC workstations. Messing with stuff in between (like 3DS) seems to me to be a lot of money for maybe a few different features in a whole lot more complex UI with not much more advantage. So it seems to me that if you get to a point where LW feels like it is holding you back, you have to go to Wavefront, or something in that category, rather than some of the MAC/Pentium/PC entries. wmc – via Autopilot!
