Tom (and everybody else that responded), thanks for the assistance. I checked
the drive voltages and they were okay. I then removed the disk drives and the
daughter board with the Zorro slots. I started just gently pushing around on
the boards and heard a "click" as the board with the CPU seated down onto the
motherboard. I reassembled and horray, all works well!!
BYW, I have a revision 11 buster chip on a new motherboard (received it only
about 2 weeks before Commodore shut down <whew>). When I look at it, it
doesn't appear to be socketed. Should the sockets be obvious, or are the
surface mount sockets rather descrete?
