Actually, we seem to be in the same position as Matt. I am a Graphics Designer
and Database modeler at GreyStone Technology in San Diego, a company that
develops real-time virtual entertainment simulations on the SGI. What I have
proposed for the next project development is set up a system where we can
storyboard our next game using small clips of frame-by-frames, store 'em on a
HD, be able to move them around ( "Put that one first….no, wait, put that one
fist.."), and when everything is just right put 'em out to tape. I was really
impressed when I got a Toaster/LightWave demo but taking everything into
account ( the fall of Commodore, the huge PC digital video market, etc.) I'm
hesitant to seriously recommend it. So, I joined CompuServe for it's Amiga
forum just so I can draw on your wealth of knowledge and experience…anything
you can tell me about the software and hardware YOU would buy in this situation
would really help me get over this wall…
Thanks!
