Steven, YES there are two different versions of the 3.1 software. The different software versions are related to the Toaster cards NOT the machines on which they reside. Where it is true that the installer script for the 4000 Toasterboard differs depending on which machine it is used, all the needed components are on the upgrade disks to install on either platform. The important thing to remember is that you must have installed the appropriate version of the software for the card installed prior to using the 3.1 upgrade disks to update the installed software. If you are attempting to swap boards it just won't work without re-installing the original disks. Frank
