To whom it may concern,
I am getting very frustrated with Autodesk 3DS. After spending $2700 for the
product and suffering thru a botched product delievry, I still can't get the
product past the Sentinal message.
First, the product arrived with NO HARDWARE LOCK AT ALL. And so, back to the
dealer to get a lock…NOW after properly installing the lock and checking the
port (by printing successfully to the port) I always get the Sentinal error
message.
I notice in the documentation that with fast machines (the docs mention 486/50
and 486/66) this locking method can have problems. Well I'm running a Pentium
66 and brother does this suck! All that power and no go!!!
What should I do!! I've just spent $2700 for 3DS, $1600 for a Matrox Pro 4.5
ZV, $1200 for a Nokia 447x to run this software and I can't get past the
darned timing issues you folks have with your locking approach. HHEELLP or
this product goes back ASAP.
