Hello Joseph,
I too am looking forward to information on this new fall. I have heard they
found several other pieces near St. Robert which is some 60 kilometers from
Montreal. I have not heard as of yet what class this fall is. It was described
as stony with iron in it so maybe it is a H class type meteorite.
Execution? Suits? I'm not sure who you are referring to. As far as the
misrepresetnation I only heard a rumor but thta is sometimes enough for me to
find another source.
I recieved your E-Mail of 6/19/94 as the last Mail. If you have sent any since
that I have not recieved it.
Looks like you are going after some interesting irons. The IIIAB sounds special
to me. After reading Dodd's book I have a new found appreciation on the classes
and the complex structure of iron meteorites. Looks like there are now 12 to 16
parent bodies for the main irons and as many as fifty other parent bodies for
the anomalous. I myself have only seven groups represented in my collection. I
do have a IIIAB iron ( the Urachic, Mexico one) in my collection.
I would like to go after the silicated iron brought in from Australia. Last I
knew though it was some five to six dollars a gram. I should talk to that
source and try to bargin him down again.
