Hi, Bill Bear in mind that I was using the Loran on land, with the usual obstructions from trees, power lines, etc. But what I was doing at the time was getting back to a stored location – my house. When I arrived, the Loran claimed I lived about 1/4 to 1/2 mile South! 🙂 OTH, an experiment with my Trimble Scout GPS this morning driving to work put me within 50 feet of my expected location. (Actually I _WAS_ about 50 feet from where I had recorded the location!) As the GPS accuracy is only supposed to be +- 100 meters, my best guess is that I had lucked out and the DOD had temporarily turned off SA for the occasion. 🙂 Cheers, Guy
