Kevin, There's a lot to worry about as the Russian version of the mafia is selling a lot of military hardware to anyone with foreign currency. That's why people want to get into government–to get the golden nestegg. I know this is cynical, but it's true. The founding fathers didn't want it to be this way, but this is the way it's turned out. If the political parties don't reform and they won't, we're stuck with it. You mentioned something about the tools-path in Multi-media Word. I just happened to click on the a help icon or one of the icons in the Word Group and the help file talks about this issue. It seems an error dialog will pop up if the Word-Bookshelf cd-rom disc is not in the drive. I haven't experienced the dialog box yet because I don't have a cd-rom drive installed on my new machine that has the MM-Word program–but it makes sense to warn the user that the cd-rom disc is not in the drive. I don't know if there is a work-a-round to avoid the warning. Paul
