Your poimt is well taken. As for Erik, I think he just wanted to convey his
good wishes in his own initmitable way. Frankly, the only thing I care about is
that the users of the Raptor feel they got what they paid for. I've said
before, that the Raptor is as close an approximation to the Screamer as we
thought we could reliably ship. It's not a Cray and its not an Onyx. It just
allows LW3D users to maybe do some things they couldn't justify doing before.
No one has DeskStation to thank for the Raptor, you all have Newtek to thank.
When we introduce the "next thing" at Siggraph and assuming you like it, then
you can start thanking us. I have tried on this forum to be up-front and
straight about our approach to this market. I just have a low tolerance for
those who have never tried it and attempt to impune its value in the face of
those who have.
