Yes, I was aware of that. (Well, at least I read the fine print in the lower-left corner of a USGS quadrangle map. :-)) Here is what the Scout manual has to say about the subject: "Many U.S. topo maps are based on the default datum for SCOUT–N-Am. 1927CONUSmv (also known as 1927 North American datum or NAD 27." Chalk up one more advantage of using a unit designed for land-lubbers. 🙂 Thanks, Guy
