> I see that Campmoor has the Magellan Trailblzer down to $400 now. Yea, the lower price on the 'blazer was announced on the great outdoor forum the evening I got back from REI with the Scout. I made some kind of sarcastic remark on-line about it, and some kind soul replied that while the Scout cost twice as much, it has at least three times the capability of the 'blazer. (Waitaminute – this was in the 4×4 section! Were we really talking about GPS's?! :-)) Anyway, I've come to agree with the guy after working with the Scout a bit. BTW, I bought the Scout accessory kit – remote antenna and battery eliminator from Trimble. It was $225, but worth every penny if you plan to use it in your vehicle. Had 5 satellites locked blasting down the concrete canyon of the Stadium Freeway. Yesterday I found a cell-phone mounting kit that will work with the Scout at Radio Shack. It consists of a base that can be mounted on the floor or dash of your vehicle with a flexible gooseneck holding a foam-lined clamp. Now I need to find a foolproof alarm system so I can keep all this good stuff. 🙂 Regards, Guy
